A detailed map of central Mexico, with Mexico City still situated on a lake, Guadalajara and Puebla (Angelorum Civitas). The sites of gold and silver mines are marked with diamonds. The title cartouche is particularly decorative and the key cartouche features cherubs and armadillos. This example was published in the monumental 'Atlas Major'.
